Another iPhone App!

Another app is published, we’re on a roll. This one is called Spanish Word Find, a stand-alone version of the mildly addictive word-find game in Memorize Words. Here users search for hidden Spanish or English words, but as a twist their counterparts are shown on the top panel.

Check out our first iPhone application, Memorize Words. A Spanish vocabulary trainer using a SuperMemo-like spaced repetition algorithm and libSpeex to squeeze hours of voice into a 45 MB package.

Who are We?

Componica specializes in image processing, pattern recognition, and graphical user interfaces. We also produce custom software using Adobe Flash, OS X Cocoa, and Win 32 Development. Our specialty is solving problems requiring mathematical and engineering skill sets beyond those of the average software developer.

Componica originated in Iowa City, Iowa, in 2004 and was founded with the purpose of finding practical applications for machine learning, pattern recognition, and image processing. Over the years, Componica has built a firm base of clientele by providing software services that go beyond web development and into graphical user interfaces. Outside of consulting, Componica is internally developing applications related to language instruction and online learning which will be released in the future.

Componica continues to grow on The University of Iowa’s Oakdale Research Campus in Coralville, Iowa, and seek out new and innovative projects. Our engineers’ skills cover numerous platforms and programming languages. We can quickly adapt to any programming environment. The recent addition of two more engineers readies Componica to take on more clients and projects of larger scope, delivering quick results.
